Shirt Dress

Previously when I've worn a shirt dress out on an evening I've been asked "Did you forget you trousers?". Obviously not! But here's a beautiful Floral Shirt Dress by Boutique from Topshop that will certainly not get asked that question. Its slightly above my usual price at £120 but it's just lovely and can be worn day or night.

Kimono Maxi Dress

This gorgeous black Devore Kimono Maxi Dress from Asos has a beautiful pattern aswell as a gorgeous thigh split and clinched waist. I love the red heel to go with the dress ( second picture). 

This comes in sizes 4 - 18 at £60 and also in the Curve range by Asos from 18 - 28 £65. Why the price difference i do not understand but it is one sexy evening gown for all shapes and sizes. 

Embellished Dress

There are a number of gorgeous embellished dresses out there, especially from Miss Selfridge and Asos but this - Painted embellished slip dress from Topshop is my favourite. £75. Beautiful pattern front and back! Love.

A Lingerie Dress

Please do not wear these to a wedding unless it fits the brief however i had to share these beautiful lingerie dresses by Zara. Ditch the bodycon and opt for these this season. I have tried one on and it didn't look like underwear. Love them!

The Navy Maxi Dress

A beautiful maxi dress with lace inserts. Perfect for a wedding or that posh christmas party approaching. This does come in other colours but for me its got to be the navy...

Black Embellished Lashes of London Dress. River Island. £115. Pretty little dress to wear with blue or pink clutch bag and black stiletto with ankle strap (Zara style). Even add a fascinator. Just lovely.

Another dress is another TOPSHOP. Cheap as chips £35. Deep V Textured Bodycon dress by Oh My Love. Purple. Could be slightly cold in winter and would suit the smaller busted women. Would suggest a jacket and a nice dark purple lip (Rebel or Dark side by Mac). Either black or nude accessories depending on the season. Hair could be down with it being quite a revealing dress. Not for everyone but i just love

The First Dress

Hello beautiful people. Just to start off with an introduction. My names Lucinda and the last few years I have been to some lovely weddings. I would't of usually thought of myself as a blogger but and for those who know me are going to be some what shocked. However I've decided to start this as the majority of my friends know I spend a lot of time online swatting up on what is out there (just for fun). So without rabbiting on...this is a blog for anyone out there struggling to find "THE PERFECT DRESS" for a wedding, as a guest... hence the title. I adore a good wedding however for me and a lot of people out there it can be a slightly stressful (and expensive) experience for the guest so i thought I would try and do the hard work for you and find affordable outfits for any type of wedding. My first dress. Topshop. CROSS FRONT MAXI DRESS. £58. Perfect for an Autumn/Winter Wedding. Nude Heels. Red Lipstick (Ruby Woo by Mac) and a Pearl clutch bag. I would go for hair up to show off the dress. This was for my lovely friend Donna x
